ROOM 7 Teacher
Talofa lava, my name is Mr Tasi I am the new teacher in Room 7. I taught 5 years at Kelston Intermediate and am looking forward to working at Pasadena Intermediate. I have three boys. Benjamin who is 10, Esera who is 8 and Josiah who is 5. My wife Penny was born in South Africa and we have been married for 14 years. I am a New Zealand born Samoan with a family of 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I can’t tell you how old I am but lets just say, a number between 30-50. At Kelston Intermediate I taught in an all boys class known as Tamatoa, meaning “never give up”, I am passionate about what I do and what I teach. Knowledge is power, education informs us to make the correct decisions or learn from what we experience. I am a huge believer in equipping young people with the necessary tools that are not only associated with academics, but life skills, that enable young people to become better citizens. I try to make the classroom a fun and inclusive environment that allows the students to feel confident with their learning and happy to take risks.
