Uniforms

Uniforms have been part of the intermediate scene for over 75 years. There has been, and probably always will be, debate about the merits of wearing school uniforms. Of late the issue of safety, schools being able to identify  non students in their grounds, has become a consideration.

Pasadena school colours are Navy Blue and Red.

Pasadena Intermediate School does not have separate boy's and girl's uniforms or separate summer and winter uniforms.

Below are listed the garments that constitute the Pasadena Intermediate School uniform. Students select from these items according to the weather and their needs. It is not anticipated that parents/caregivers purchase all items.

RAIN JACKET Features: Jacket Style; Lined with full zip; side pockets; Navy and Red

SOCKS * - Navy Blue/Black Knee Length; White Ankle Length

SHOES * - Black; Lace-up (To be worn with socks)

SANDALS * - Black or Brown with Heel Strap (To be worn without socks)

SCHOOL HAT - Navy Blue Baseball Style; Pasadena ‘P’, Navy Blue Full Brimmed  Bucket Style; Pasadena ‘P’, Navy Blue Beanie; Pasadena ‘P’

SCARVES * - Navy Blue or Red; Plain

PE SHIRT - Navy Blue and Red Shirt; Short Sleeve; Polyester Fabric

PE Shorts - Navy Blue and Red Long Leg;  Polyester Fabric; Draw String/Elasticised Waist

For safety reasons, students are requested to limit jewellery and body adornments to watches and single studs for pierced ears. Other items, such as money belts and badges are not to be worn.

For safety reasons, students must wear shoes when participating in lessons in the Technology Studio and Workshop and Food and Nutrition Studio.

It is vital that all items of clothing and footwear are clearly named.

Physical Activity/Sport/Fitness

Students are required to change into their Physical Education uniform for all sporting activities - fitness, physical education lessons, syndicate sports, team practices and matches. Sports shoes are recommended for these activities.

During Terms II and III, students may wear plain red or blue sweat shirts and/or track pants prior to and during the pre-activity warm up and stretching.

School Teams and Groups

Pasadena Intermediate School owns sets of team uniforms and track suits for various sports and activities that students selected to represent the school are able to borrow for the day. These uniforms are laundered at school and are not to be taken home.

Parents/Caregivers will be asked to pay for items not returned.

School Uniform Shop

Pasadena Intermediate School Uniform garments are for sale from the School Uniform Shop.

During Term time the Uniform Shop is open during School Office Hours.

At the start of the school year, the Shop is open extended hours as follows

    Tuesday 29 January - Friday 1 February 2013, 9.00am to 1.00pm

    Monday 4 February 2013, 9.00am to 1.00pm
