Pasadena Intermediate School serves the Pt Chevalier, Waterview, Gladstone, Edendale, Bayfield, Grey Lynn, Freemans Bay, Newton Central, Richmond Road, Westmere and Mt Albert districts. We also welcome enquiries regarding our programmes and courses and enrolments from other areas.
Pasadena Intermediate School does not have a closed roll at present.
The school is always open to prospective families. Pasadena staff and students will be available to meet with prospective enrolments and their parents/caregivers wishing to inspect the campus, view the facilities and to discuss programmes and courses.
Appointments to discuss the specific educational needs of children can be made by contacting the school.
To allow prospective parents/caregivers and students to come to know our school, we have arranged a number of activities and events.

Enrolment Packs, including 2011 Prospectus and Enrolment Form, will be forwarded home with Year 6 students from Pt Chevalier, Waterview, Gladstone, Edendale, Bayfield, Grey Lynn, Freemans Bay, Newton Central, Richmond Road, Westmere and Mt Albert schools and will be available from the offices of other local primary schools from Tuesday 8 June 2010.
Parents wishing to have Enrolment Information and Forms mailed direct, need only telephone the school, 846-2169 and ask Louise or Thelma, the School Administration Staff.

Information Evening
Wednesday 18 August 2010, 7.30 - 9.00pm, Pasadena Centre. Year 6 Parents ‘An Introduction to Pasadena Intermediate School’ for prospective parents/caregivers. Senior Managers, Teachers and present and former students will make presentations and answer parents’ questions about intermediate and specifically, Pasadena Intermediate School’s 21st Century Curriculum and organization. Supper will be served.
Open Days
We designate one day a Term and extend a special invitation to our parents/caregivers to drop in and see the school in action. We extend this invitation to parents/caregivers and families of 2010 Year 6 students -

Task Presentations Days
An important part of our 21st Century Curriculum, Authentic Tasks, is the children’s ‘presentation of knowledge’ at the end of each Term’s Task.
Prospective parents/caregivers are welcome to come and see our school in action.

Enrolment
Although our key 2011 Enrolment and Orientation activities are conducted in Term II and Term III of 2010, we will receive enrolments for 2011 at any time.
Enrolment Week: Monday 16 - Friday 20 August 2010 and Pasadena Open Days: Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 August 2010 have been set aside for parents/caregivers to complete enrolments.
The Office will be open extended hours, 8.00am - 5.00pm and the Principal and Management Staff will be available to assist with enrolments and to discuss with parents/caregivers the specific educational needs of their children.
Enrolments may be completed in person at the Pasadena Intermediate School Office, or may be posted or faxed to the school.
Payment of costs and contributions is not a prerequisite for NZ resident's enrolment.
