Information & Communications Technologies

Pasadena Intermediate School has been at the forefront of the introduction of technology as an aid to learning.

The school is completely networked - all classrooms, studios, suites, offices and the library. This network allows students access to PasaNet, the school's Intranet, to information sources, including CD encyclopaedia and references; to centrally stored software, utilities and applications; to in-house notice, discussion and bulletin boards and to the Internet.

The network has fulltime internet access - students in their classrooms, in studios, suites and the library can access the internet simultaneously.

Pods of laptop computers access the network by wireless connection, compliment machines in classrooms and studios, or can be used in any part of the school.

The school has its own registered World Wide Website http://www.pasadena.school.nz with general information about the school and school programmes and class and student's pages.

Access to, and use of, all the school's Information and Communications Technologies resources by all students, is a feature of our Learning and Teaching Programmes.

Off site access to PasaNet, the school's Intranet, and Information and Communications Technologies resources is also available to students.

All students are able to have their own email address.
